The Wedding Ceremony: Your Wedding, Your Style
$285.00 Thank you for the opportunity to present my services to you. My role is to help make your wedding ceremony memorable and meaningful to you both. I can help you write your vows, or I can design a ceremony for you based on your individual needs. Unlimited phone and email time is included in the price of your wedding. It is my aim to be available to you as you need it to design and prepare your ceremony to your specifications, while still making the process simple for you as you already have enough to do with all of your wedding preparations. You will have final approval of your ceremony.
This service includes performing your wedding ceremony on the date and time agreed upon. I will arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the start time and remain up to one hour after the start time. I am flexible within reason of course if a mishap causes a ceremony to run behind schedule.
A $100 deposit ($150 if rehearsal also reserved) is required to hold the day. This is refundable up until six months prior to your ceremony. About 90 days before the wedding, I do the first draft of your ceremony and then you just tell me what you like and don’t like and we email it back and forth until it is right for you. I have many resources to pull from and I am excited to help you create the ceremony of your dreams.
If you think you might be interested, email me with your wedding date, time, location address, phone number and a good time to call you so you can get a better idea if I am the Officiant for you. I find it helpful for you to get a feel for me and I get a better understanding of your vision for your wedding day. I will check my availability and Mapquest your location so that I may confirm this with you when I call. I look forward to speaking with you.
The Ceremony & Rehearsal
$385.00 This service includes everything for the wedding ceremony listed above, plus I will attend the rehearsal if available. Whether or not you wish me to attend and help guide the process, I strongly encourage a rehearsal for everyone, especially if there will be a wedding party and a large number of guests. Your wedding party will feel more comfortable if they know what you expect of them and you will feel more at ease, too. It is also very helpful to rehearse when there are readings and/or rituals such as candle ceremonies. There are often unanticipated issues that arise that can be more easily resolved at a rehearsal allowing your special day to run more smoothly.
Just The Two Of You
If you are interested in a private ceremony for just the two of you, please contact me as I can provide an estimate of this service on a case by case basis. If available, I am happy to perform your ceremony on short notice, even 24 hours or less. I have a standard civil or a standard spiritual ceremony that I can perform on short notice. Depending on travel time and ceremony personalization, I may be able to provide a significant discount off of The Wedding Ceremony price.
A Note About Travel:
I am local to Charlottesville/Waynesboro/Staunton and will perform ceremonies there and in nearby surrounding areas at the fees listed above. I frequently travel all over Virginia including Richmond, Lynchburg, Virginia Beach, and Northern Virginia. Provide me an address and I will Mapquest it and let you know any cost for travel. I love what I do and do my best to keep costs down. My intent in keeping travel cost separate is that local couples do not have to absorb the cost of my adventures across the state. In addition, I think you will find my total cost is still competitive with Officiants throughout Virginia. I look forward to helping you create this most amazing ceremony.
